PURPOSE:To provide the pocket heater capable of igniting without necessitating kindling fire for ignition at all by a method wherein a igniting catalyst, which generates heat by contact of vaporized methyl alcohol, is contacted with the exothermal catalyst of pocket heater fuel to ignite the pocket heater. CONSTITUTION:Petroleum benzine is impregnated into absorbent wadding 4 in an exothermal fuel tank 2 and methyl alcohol is impregnated into the absorbent wadding 5 in a igniting fuel tank 3. Upon igniting the pocket heater, the igniting catalyst 8 is contacted with the exothermal catalyst 6 and the ignition catalyst 8 is communicated with the inside of the igniting tank 3, then, the vaporized ethyl alcohol is contacted with the igniting catalyst 8 and begins oxiding reaction in a normal temperature while the igniting catalyst 8 generates heat to rise the temperature of the exothermal catalyst 6 by transferring heat from the igniting catalyst 8 and whereby the pocket heater fuel or the petroleum benzine may be ignited. |
