PURPOSE: To simplify a configuration of an apparatus for filling cryogenic engines of a launcher with automatic separation on lift-off and to improve its reliability by applying a tensile stress to a filling tube automatically by sensing and corresponding to the displacement of a launcher when the launcher is lifted and travels from the ground and breaking the filling tube in a weakened zone at the time of lift off of the launcher. CONSTITUTION: At the time of lift off of a launcher, an assembly formed by pipes 10, 12 and a tube section 20 connecting them is lifted together with the launcher so that the effect for sliding a protuberance 26a along a conical base part 38a of a seat face formed inside a sleeve 38 which remains stationary for the ground occurs. An inward force in the radial direction is applied to a hinge pin 32 of each pair of links 26, 28, a distance between link end parts is increased by the force, and a tensile force is applied to the tube section 20 between the hinge pins 30 and 34 from each link pair. A weakened zone 22 of the tube section 20 is broken under this force, and an upper part of the tube section 20 fixed on the pipe 12 on launcher side is separated from a lower part of the tube section fixed on the pipe 10 on the ground side.
