PURPOSE:To further emphasize the feature of a part, and to execute the observation of a tone similar to an ordinary observation by preparing one or more images anew based on the images of at least two wavelength areas among the images of respective wavelength areas to be wavelength-separated. CONSTITUTION:For a light, a color separation is executed by a rotary filter 29, it is color-separated to an infrared light in addition to the lights of respective visible light areas of R, G and B, and an organism is irradiated with the infrared light. The light reflected at the organism is image-formed by a lens 14, it is photoelectric-converted by a CCD 15, respective images of R, G and B and two kinds of near infrared images are stored through a preamplifier 16, a processing circuit 17 and an A/D converter into memory 1 - memory 5, respectively, and they are converted to analog signals to be synchronized by a D/A converter group 21. A difference between two wavelengths detected by a level difference detecting circuit 23 is organism information under a mucosa to be hard to observe with a visible light. R, G and B respective image signals emphasize-processed by emphasizing circuits 22a, 22b and 22c are outputted directly as R, G and B signal or in being converted to NTSC signals.
