Pallet feed structure for machine table - incorporates buffer table with spring-loaded balls followed by transfer bridge with friction reducing ball bearings

To enable loaded pallets to be advanced manually for machining operations, they are pushed from a buffer table (11) able to carry more than one pallet, onto the machine table. Between the two tables is a transfer bridge (13) with two parallel rails (13a,b) connected by cross members and with ball beraings attached, to reduce friction. The ball bearings (20) are attached to the inside surfaces of the two rails so that the pallet is carried by their outer races. The surface of the buffer table has ball bearings (19) projecting from it, each with a bearing cradle supported by a spring. USE/ADVANTAGE - Pallet feed for machine table. Manual effort is reduced.
