A gearing is proposed which is used to transmit a comparatively small power, in particular in the case of auxiliary units of motor vehicles. The gearing comprises a rotating toothed wheel and a gearing member which meshes with the latter via counter-toothing, at least one of the two gearing members being made, in the meshing region, of a flexible material, preferably plastic. To achieve play-free meshing between the two gearing members with relatively large tolerance compensation, the tooth flanks of one gearing member enclose an angle with the tooth flanks of the other gearing member, and, seen in the direction of the axis of rotation of the toothed wheel, the then visible front edges and rear edges of the same tooth bound a tooth which, seen in the direction of the consecutive toothing, is larger than the tooth gaps of the other gearing member. <IMAGE>
