PURPOSE: To realize a vacuum pump system integrated with a peristalsis pump suitable for ophthalmic microscopic operation using a disposable cassette, by equipping an affusion/suction mechanism and a cassette engageable with the mechanism and enable to forcibly feed by volume or peristalsis. CONSTITUTION: A peristaltic pump device for affusion/suction has a disposable pump cassette 50. In operation of this device during automatic control of an injection line by depressing a control pedal, the pump head continues rotation as far as the pump is delivering liquid and, when it reaches a preset vacuum value, if the suction port of manual device is blocked by tissue particles, the pump head stops the rotation until the vacuum level comes down to a prescribed level. At that point, the pump head starts to rotate again to suck and remove tissue particles from the operation position through a suction line. When the control pedal is released from depressed state, an injection segment is shut to release an escape segment 174 to equalize the vacuum level in the suction line to the atmospheric pressure. Thereby the manual device can be moved from the operation position without acting the vacuum pressure remained in the suction line on a patient. |
