Curling iron has two moulded, high temp., infra red transparent, thermoplastic sections connectable together to form the barrel and handle. Pref. the sections are connected by a number of latches and catches. The barrel portion can be made of a different thermoplastic from the handle section. The thermoplastic can be polyetherimide resin with a deflection temp. of 200 deg.C at 264 psi.
