Service-water boiler with a continuous-flow heater for heating-system water

As shown in the drawing, the upright service-water boiler is fired from above downwards with an oil or gas burner, with the result that uniform heating throughout the service water is achieved. A tube heating coil of about 30-60 metres in length which acts as a continuous-flow heater for the heating-system water is integrated in the large-volume service-water boiler (about 150-500 litres). By means of this arrangement, the heating coil can never fur up, since the same water circulates in the heating system again and again. In order that the service-water boiler does not fur up, provision is made at the cold-water inlet for a water softening unit which neutralises the calcifying compounds and the rust crystals. With this service-water boiler according to the invention, it is possible to perform permanent drawing of hot water. A hot-water storage cylinder is no longer required, since the heating burner heats the inflowing cold water immediately to the set heat values again.
