PURPOSE: A barrier component material for a plasma display device uniformly forms a barrier height, and enhances a surface illumination. CONSTITUTION: A method for making a barrier for PDP deposits a black sheet on a substrate (22,32), and forms an electrode(24,34) and electrode protective layer(26,36) on the black sheet, accurately positions a mold on the substrate. The method molds a barrier(30,42) by applying a predetermined pressure on the substrate, polishes the molded barrier, and performs a calcination process. A black pigment are included in the black sheet by a constant quantity. Thereby, the method uniformly forms a barrier height, and enhances a surface illumination. |
