PURPOSE: A method for assigning a frame memory clock in an image encoder is provided to record data to a frame memory effectively and to read the record data effectively by distributing a clock by a horizontal line unit of a macro block. CONSTITUTION: In a method for assigning a frame memory clock in an image encoder, in a case that a picture type of a macro block is a P-picture or an I-picture, during one macro block time, first three clocks are assigned to reading, and next three clocks are assigned to writing. In a case that the picture type of the macro block is a B-picture, during the macro block time, first three clocks are assigned to a forward reading for a forward prediction, and next three clocks are assigned to a reverse reading for a reverse prediction. In a case that the picture type is the B-picture, two clocks are assigned to a forward/reverse/bi-direction prediction data process, respectively. Two clocks are assigned so that a pixel of the same line of the same macro block is repeated three-times at reading present data. Two clocks are assigned every correspondence so that three prediction data and three present data correspond to each other at a prediction error calculation. |
