PURPOSE: A fire and burglar alarm using a telephone is to improve an existing fire and burglar alarm, thereby increasing a reliance of the alarm and cutting down expenses. CONSTITUTION: A fire and burglar alarm using a telephone comprises an object detecting portion(1) for detecting a movement of an object, a fire detecting portion(2), an automatic connecting terminal(7) for automatically connecting the telephone with the outside, a timer(T1,T2,T3) for presetting an operating time of the alarm and a relay(R) for opening/closing a circuit of the alarm. The alarm is operated according to a time preset in the timer. In the alarm, if the timer(T2) operates a contact(T2b) so as to connect a contact(5) of a speaker phone, a speaker phone signal is generated. A re-dialing contact(6) in the telephone is switched on by a contact(T2a) so that a re-dialing number is dialed again. After that, the speaker phone is switched off by the timer(T1) and at the same time, the re-dialing signal is off.
