A process for expelling gas from waste materials, in particular insulating materials, sprays cans or the like, comprises the following steps: the waste materials are pressed in a screw extruder; the escaping gases are collected and, if necessary, condensed in stages. The waste materials can be shredded beforehand. Gas can be expelled from the waste materials, in particular insulating materials, spray cans or the like, in a nonpolluting manner, which permits optimal further processing of the solid components. |
