<p>Heat exchange apparatus comprises a first annular cross-section flow path for fluid defined between a circular cross-section inner wall surface of an outer wall member (10) and circular cross-section outer wall surface of an intermediate wall member (11), a second annular cross-section flow path for fluid defined between a circular cross-section inner wall surface of said intermediate wall member and a circular cross-section outer wall surface of an inner wall member (15), said annular cross-section flow paths being in heat exchange relationship with one another via said intermediate wall member (11), and means such as a motor drive which is for producing relative rotation between said intermediate wall member and each of said inner and outer wall members. The wall surfaces defining at least one of said annular cross-section flow paths are both substantially smooth. High heating and cooling rates with improved uniformity of heat transfer are obtained.</p> |
