<p>The arrangement comprises, connected head-on to the differential branch circuit-breaker (3) which connects the installation (4, 5) to be protected to the network (1, 2), an overvoltage limiter of the type with varistor (8) transporting the overvoltages through the line (9) towards earth (10). A transient-suppressing differential interrupter (11) sensitive to the value of the leakage current in order to disconnect the overvoltage limiter when the leakage current, when no overvoltage is present, runs the risk of causing the branch circuit- breaker (3) to trigger, is interposed in the line (9), the triggering curve for the said interrupter (11) being offset relative to the differential triggering curve for the branch circuit-breaker (3) in the direction making the differential interrupter trigger before the branch circuit-breaker. <IMAGE></p> |
