PURPOSE:To obtain a composition which contains physiologically active extract extracted with an aqueous organic solvent and can be converted into a variety of pharmaceutical preparations by using an aqueous organic solvent extract, a water-soluble high-molecular weight polymer and/or polyglycerol fatty acid ester. CONSTITUTION:An extract with an aqueons organic solvent from plant tissues containing active ingredients slightly soluble in water (for example, gingko leaves containing flavon glycoside are extracted with aqueous methanol) and at least one of a water-soluble polymer such as arabic gum and/or a polyglycerol fatty acid ester such as decaglycerol monostearate are used as main components and they are converted into pharmaceutical preparations in usual manners. The extract composition is prepared into solid preparations such as tablets, granules, powder or non-alcoholic liquid preparation such as drink, syrup. It can be optimally applied to aged people, infants, patients with liver diseases as a drug for treating cerebral circulation metabolism. |
