PURPOSE:To enhance an adhesion between a recording film and a substrate by a method wherein an optical recording medium is formed by providing the recording film containing Te as a main component, C, and H on the substrate made of a specific cyclic olefin random copolymer. CONSTITUTION:By applying a magnetron sputtering method to Te as a target in a mixed gas of an organic gas containing C and H and an Ar gas, a recording layer 12 made of a Te thin film containing C and H is formed on a substrate 11, whereby an optical recording medium 10 is produced. As the substrate 11, a cyclic olefin random copolymer shown by a formula I is used. In the formula I, (n) represents 0 or a positive integer, R<1> - R<12> are hydrogen, halogen or hydrocarbon, and R<9> - R<12> may bond with each other to form a monocyclic or polycyclic group, which may have double bonds. |
