<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image free from fixing failure or transfer failure by specifying the basis weight, smoothness and oil absorption of an electrophotographic transfer paper. SOLUTION: This transfer paper for color electrophotography has >=100 g/m2 basis weight, >=60 sec smoothness and <=80 sec oil absorption. Since a thick paper having >=100 g/m2 basis weight has large heat capacity of the paper itself, the paper is disadvantageous to sufficiently melt a toner, and since the paper has a large water content, toner blister is easily caused. Therefore, by specifying the smoothness of the paper having 100 g/m2 basis weight to >=60 sec so as to keep the transfer property, and further by specifying the oil absorption to <=80 sec, a toner in a fused state can rapidly permeate into the paper when the toner is fixed by heat and production of toner blisters is suppressed. The source material for the transfer paper sheet is a pulp such as broadleaf craft pulp or the like, to which a sizing agent such as rosin, aluminum sulfate is added. The mixture is beaten and further a filler as titanium oxide and kaoline is added. The mixture source material is subjected to a paper making process by a paper making machine.</p> |
