PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an easy-to-machine drain pan by a method wherein the drain pan for sectioning both of a machine room and a heat exchanger room, and the drain pan combines side edge plates for supporting a heat exchanger with a central plate for coupling both side edge plates thereby suppressing distortion or twisting. SOLUTION: A drain pan 6 for sectioning a machine room 2 and a heat exchanger room 5 comprises two valley type side edge plates 13 and one ridge type central plate 14. Lower surface of a heat exchanger 3 is secured in the recess 17 of each side edge plate 13 in the longitudinal direction. The central plate 14 projects to the side of the heat exchanger room 5 and a space is provided on the machine room 2 only at that part. When rain water intrudes through the gap of a fan 4, or the like, in the heat exchanger room 5, rain water dropping onto the protruding part 22 of the central plate 14 flows on the side edge plate 13 and stands in the recess 17 before being discharged from a drain outlet. It is also true when a heat exchanger unit 1 is operating as a cooler. Since the drain pan is constructed of three parts, it can be machined or assembled easily. |
