PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, consisting of unmodified PE, ethylene-glycidyl methacrylate copolymer and carboxyl group-containing modified polyolefin in a specific proportion and capable of providing conjugate fiber excellent in peel strength by coextrusion with a polyester. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition consisting of (A) 55-85wt.% unmodified PE (preferably high-density PE having 0.948-0.955g/cm<3> density and 10-40g/10min melt index), (B) 5-15wt.% ethylene-glycidyl methacrylate copolymer and (C) 10-30wt.% carboxyl group-containing modified polyolefin [e.g. modified polyolefin obtained by adding unsaturated carboxylic acids, such as maleic anhydride, and an peroxide, such as 1,3-bis(tert-butyl peroxyisopropyl)benzene, to a polyolefin and melt kneading the resultant mixture]. |
