<p>A device for locking together two substantially concentric, relatively rotating members such as a roller (4) and a shaft (2) comprises a body member (6) fixedly secured to one of the members (2, 4) and including a curved surface (8) thereon which, together with an opposed surface (10) of the other concentric member (4, 2), defines therebetween a tapering volume (12), a locking element (18) carried by the body member (6) and retained by a clip (16), and temperature sensitive means (20) reacting against the retaining force of the clip (16) such that, at a predetermined temperature, the means (20) urges the locking element (18) from an inoperative position on the body member (6) to an operative position within the tapering volume (12) whereby the locking element (18) becomes wedged between the curved surface (8) of the body member (6) and the opposed surface (10) of the other concentric member (4, 2) to prevent relative rotation between the two concentric members (2, 4). <IMAGE></p> |
