PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a heat mode type lithographic printing plate having excellent plate wear resistance and small printing scumming on a printing surface capable of directly mounting in a printer and engraving by a simple operation without necessity of developing. SOLUTION: The original plate for lithographic printing comprises a hydrophilic upper layer containing metal compound particles having surface hydrophilicity and photocatalysis carrying fine pieces of a photothermal conversion substance on the surface and a lipophilic lower layer. Particularly, the original plate for printing a lithographic plate comprises metal compound particles carrying metal fine pieces precipitated on the surface by irradiating with an active light in the presence of a metal salt of a metal element having an ionization tendency of a later sequence (noble) than that of a hydrogen element. As the lower layer, a thin layer of a metal or a metal compound or an organic polymer compound is used. |
