<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by switching a display area to be used or operation control corresponding to the processing contents or operating purpose of electronic equipment. SOLUTION: When the power source switch of computer terminal equipment 1 is turned on, power is supplied to the respective devices of a low speed CPU 18, a bus exchange IC 9 and a device group #2, the power sources of devices in a device group #3 are turned on by the low speed CPU 18 and the computer terminal equipment 1 is made active in a PDA mode. When there is a mode switching instruction during operation, the power sources of respective devices in the device group #2 are turned off by the low speed CPU 18, the power sources of respective devices in a device group #1 are turned on, a high speed CPU 2 is made active and the mode is switched to a PC mode and stopped.</p> |
