PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent amine salt of an agrochemically active compound, selected from a specific amine and NaOH, capable of reducing the volatility of the agrochemically active compound without adversely affecting the agrochemical activities such as herbicidal, germicidal and insecticidal activities and useful for exterminating weeds. CONSTITUTION: This low volatile salt is obtained by making an agrochemically active compound containing carboxylic acid group such as dicamba, 2,4-D and salts thereof with a salt-forming amine selected from amines of aminopropylmorpholine of formula I, a diphenylamine of formula II [(n) is 2 or 3], methyldiethanolamine of formula III, 2-amino-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol of formula IV, tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane of formula V and 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol of formula VI and NaOH in an aqueous medium. The amine salt is formulated as a powder, a granule, a pellet, a wettable powder, an emulsifying concentrate, etc., and applied by adding a carrier or an adjuvant thereto. |
