<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate setting of interfacial pressure on the cable terminal insertion portion, or receiving port in the body of a connecting portion by forming an insulating plug out of a bag-like body so that the cable terminal insertion portion, or receiving port in the body of the connecting portion is hermetically plugged by inflating an rubber insulator. SOLUTION: An insulation plug is provided with a bag-like body or a rubber insulator 5, formed by attaching a silicone rubber insulating material to mounting hardware 6 made of nonmagnetic metal, formed for example, into a disk shape so that the insulating material is in a bag shape. The mounting hardware 6 is provided with an injection port for a gel insulator. For example, the mounting hardware 6 is screwed into the body of a connecting portion, so that the rubber insulator 5 enters into a cable terminal insertion portion, or receiving port in the body 8 of the connecting portion. Then a gel insulator 9 is injected into the injection port in the mounting hardware 6. Filled with the gel insulator 9, the rubber insulator 5 becomes inflated like a balloon, and its outer face is brought into tight contact with the inner face of the cable terminal insertion portion, or receiving port in the body 8 of the connecting portion all its entirety. Thus the interfacial pressure at the cable terminal insertion portion or the receiving port in the body of the connecting portion is ensured of stability, and electrical characteristics are maintained.</p> |
