PURPOSE:To obtain a water purifying material optimum for the living of microorganisms and to efficiently purify the water of small-to-medium-sized rivers, lakes and marshes, the water in water tanks in an aquarium, etc., by using an inorg. material such as topsoil, liverite, shale or an ettringite product and an org. binder as essential components. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. one or more kinds of inorg. materials selected among topsoil (aluminous silicate hydrate present on the surface of the earth'crust, liverite (natural fine aluminous silicate-based earthy mixture), shale (laminar solidified clay) and an ettringite product such as 3CaO.Al2O3.3CaSO4.32H2O are mixed with <=20 pts.wt. org. binder such as PVA and water. This mixture is granulated and calcined at a high temp. of >=1,000 deg.C to obtain a water purifying material having 3-30mm grain size. |
