PURPOSE: To isolate a shaft and housing from a thermal expansion difference by axially positioning the inner race and outer race by the stoppers of the respective fitting members, and by fitting the corresponding races by fitting devices so as to be separated from the corresponding race fitting members in the radial direction. CONSTITUTION: This bearing assembly 10 between a shaft 12 and a housing 14 comprises an inner race 18, an outer race 20, and rolling elements 16. The inner race 18 is axially positioned to the shaft 12 via stopper members 22, and fitted by fitting members 38. On the other hand, the outer race 20 is positioned to the housing 14 via stopper members 30, and fitted by fitting members 52. Thereby, air spaces 40, 54 are formed between the shaft 12 and the inner race 18, and between the housing 14 and the outer race 20, and cooling air is introduced through guide means 66, 76. Thus, the heat resistance of the bearing assembly can be enhanced. |
