PURPOSE:To improve durability of a frictional element and also secure of a travel feeling by prohibiting any shift operation of more than two speeds at a time only when fluid temperature in a detected power system is more than the specified value. CONSTITUTION:A shift control means selectively performs engagement or release of each frictional element of an automatic transmission and also performs a speed change automatically, while it performs the speed change of more than two speed at a time, for example, from third gear speed to first speed according to a driving status. In this constitution, the shift control means prohibits any shift operation of more than two speeds at a time only when temperature of a fluid flowing in a power system being detected by a temperature detector is more than the setting value, namely, it is such a temperature as having an effect on durability of the frictional element. Thus, it is possible to improve durability of the frictional element and also secure a travel feeling. |
