PURPOSE:To easily and simply develop lubricity on a surface in the presence of water by successively treating the surface of a polyurethane resin having an unreacted isocyanate group with polyethyleneimine, a maleic anhydride copolymer and water to form a film and drying this film. CONSTITUTION:A guide wire 1 constituted of a stainless steel wire 3 used as a core wire and a stailess steel wire coil 2 is coated with polyuyethane rubber having a terminal isocyannate group and, after drying, the coated guide wire is allowed stand in a 5% polyethyleneimine aqueous solution for 5hr at room temp. After washing and drying, the guide wire is allowed to stand in a 4% solution of a methylvinyl ether/maleic anhydride copolymer in acetone for 5hr at room temp. and washed with acetone to be dried. The catheter thus obtained by this treatment is immersed in water for 24hr and subsequently dried at 60 deg.C for 24hr. When the surface 14 of this catheter is wetted with water, said surface develops lubricity immediately. By this method, a medical body insert jig enhanced in operability and effective for retrieving the pain of a patient is obtained and the surface 14 having lubricity can be obtained simply and easily. |
