PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the quality of line by detecting power of a received radio signal to estimate the traffic, and controlling to permit and inhibit the communication depending on the result of estimation. CONSTITUTION:A reception signal inputted from an antenna 8 is amplified by an amplifier 9 via an antenna multicoupler 7 while a spread spectrum communication applies no line connection and a BPF 15 extracts the component in a reception spread signal band. Then the component is given to a square detection circuit 16, in which the component is converted into a DC voltage component proportional to the power in the reception spread signal region. The voltage component is compared with the voltage registered in a memory 170 and a traffic detection circuit 17 sends a busy signal to an incoming device 1 and a control circuit 18 for a period when the component exceeds the registered voltage. Then the terminal equipment 1 sends a call request signal while the busy signal is received, but the communication is inhibited and the busy state is displayed on a display section 103. The square detection circuit 16 detects the full power in the operating frequency band in this way. Then the detection circuit 17 reduces the traffic in the system to a prescribed value or less depending on the full power. |
