PURPOSE:To improve load response characteristics by supplying fuel gas to a fuel electrode outlet manifold via a fuel gas supply means during a load increase. CONSTITUTION:Reformed gas supplied from a reformer 7 is compressed and stored in a vessel 13. Upon a load increase from that state, a valve 14 is made to open with a detected signal and the reformed gas stored in the vessel 13 is delivered into a fuel electrode outlet manifold 3, thereby increasing pressure in the manifold 3. Due to this pressure increase, the fuel gas supplied to the manifold 3 inversely flows to a groove in a body 1 and is supplied to the neighborhood nf the fuel electrode outlet where hydrogen gas concentration is minimum. Consequently, it becomes possible to effectively replenish a shortage of fuel gas at the time of a load increase and the output of the device is free from a drop even in a sudden load drop. |
