<p>PURPOSE:To load a small-sized tape cassette without using any adapter by moving a 2nd positioning means for positioning the small-sized tape cassette into its operation position to a nonoperation position at the time of inserting a standard tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:When the small-sized tape cassette 17 is used, a rod 29 is driven by a motor, and guide pins 30, 31 and 40 follow the rod 29 while a guide pin 42 follows a rod 41, so that the individual guide pins are moved along their inserted grooves, and positioning pins 18 and 19 and height setting members 23 and 24, which are for the small-sized tape cassette and has been in positions keeping out of the way of positioning the standard tape cassette into a prescribed position, are moved to such a position that the small-sized tape cassette 17 is positioned to a prescribed place and height relative to a chassis 1. Then, a connecting gear 45 is moved by a connecting substrate 38 to an operation position, so as to be meshed with a gear of a take-up side reel base 9, thus positioning accurately the small-sized tape cassette 17 to enable the recording and reproducing.</p> |
