PURPOSE:To replace safely and easily an offset preventing device, and also to execute exactly a fixing operation by constituting so that the offset preventing device is made to take two positions against a heating roller, and made freely movable in the axial direction at one position. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a heating roller 20 of a fixing device, an offset preventing device 27 for taking the first position which does not contact to said roller moves following a depression of a lever 34, is moved to an installing position of the second roller 20 and fixed. In this first position, the device 27 becomes freely movable in the axial direction. According to such a constitution, a replacement of the offset preventing device is executed easily and safely without giving a damage to the separated heating roller, etc., and also the fixing operation is executed exactly. |
