PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown due to local movement of a superconductor by securing a field winding formed of a superconductor to a supporting protrusion arranged on a field fixing shaft after fitting a field winding support having a fixed groove. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of support protrusions 5 are formed on a field fixing shaft 2a. A field winding 1 formed of a superconductor is placed on the field fixing shaft 2a, then the fixed groove 5a in a field winding support 4 is mounted on the support protrusion 5 through a gap formed between a pole 6 and the support protrusion 5 thereafter it is slided. Adjacent field winding supports 4 thus slided are then secured through bolts with the field winding 1 being held between them.
