PURPOSE:To automate the inspection of articles such as a keyboard completely by detecting a key top array position simply as positional data by key base board data and storing master board data automatically in a key top master pattern memory. CONSTITUTION:At the 1st step for the formation of a master pattern, the image of a key base board 2 put on a carrying means 1 is picked up 5 at first and the pick-up signal is binary-coded 6 and stored in a frame memory 7. A key base master pattern is inputted to a memory 11 to match the pattern, a position to be matched is detected by a position detecting circuit 13 and the detected positional information is stored in a position memory 14. In the 2nd step, a keyboard 31 mounting the key top is guided into the vidual field of the image pick-up device 5 by the sample carrying means 1. A master formation circuit 15 stores the key top master pattern in the memory 10 in accordance with the key base position in the memory 14. At the inspection in the 3rd step, a picture on an inspection keyboard 32 is inputted to the frame memory 7 and inspected by an inspection decision circuit 12. |
