PURPOSE:To prevent bucking of winding upon short circuit by holding a rectangular stator winding between a plurality of tees in a tubular inner circumferential face through a spacer and reducing the thickness radially between the spacer and the tees and between the spacer and the winding. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of wedge type tees 20 are planted on the inner circumferential face of a tubular enclosure 3. A stator winding 1 composed of a superconductor is held through a movable wedge in a space formed between adjacent teeth 20, and the winding 1 is secured through a driving wedge 22 from the outside of the enclosure 3. At this time, a spacer 50 having dimension reducing reversely from the tees 20 is placed between the winding 1 and the teeth 20. Folded section 51 at the tip of the spacer 50 and shock absorber 60 are placed between the winding 1 and the enclosure 3. By such arrangement, radial bucking of the stator winding 1 can be prevented even when a large current flows due to short circuit fault. |
