POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION AND PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION THEREOF

A polyester resin composition which contains a layer compound treated with a polyether compound and satisfies at least one of the requirements (i) to (v): (i) the hydroxyl value of the polyether compound is 30 mgKOH/g or below, (ii) the polyether compound bears a cyclic hydrocarbon group, (iii) the polyester resin composition contains a phosphorus compound, (iv) the polyester resin composition contains an epoxy compound, and (v) the polyester resin composition is one prepared by melt-kneading a thermoplastic polyester resin and a layer compound together and then increasing the molecular weight of the polyester resin.
