The invention concerns a multiple wire antenna transmitting and/or receiving an electromagnetic field, in particular for a motor vehicle, consisting of multiple strand conductors connected one by one to form turns. The multiple wire antenna is positioned on a mechanical support substantially perpendicular to the surface defined by the turns. The invention also concerns a hands-free access and starting system comprising such an antenna.
