<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short arc lamp and a light source device in which a lamp brightness spot is easily installed and adjusted at the focal position of optical design and which has superior optical characteristics. SOLUTION: In the short arc lamp that consists a light emitting tube which has an electrode in the inside wherein an outer tube is not installed, and a metal base which is equipped at an outer peripheral part of one side of both end sealing parts of the light emitting tube, and wherein the distance between electrodes is not mode than 3 mm, only an end part of an insertion port of light emitting tube is made to have a narrow diameter as for the structure of the base, and the diameter of the narrow diameter part is made to be gradually enlarged and the base end part is integrally worked inside in a tapered form.</p> |
