<p>PURPOSE:To prevent damages on members in the periphery of a semiconductor due to an arc generation, by forming the electrode on the surface of a pellet smaller than the diameter or the area of the pellet and larger than the contact surface on the external electrode of a sealing package which is contacted thereon. CONSTITUTION:The surface whereon the external electrode 15 contact the electrode 13 is larger than the second electrode 13. Therefore, even when a current concentrates on the periphery of the electrode 13, an arc generation is restrained because the electrode is pressed by external electrode 14 and 15. Besides, the external electrode 15 with a larger thermal capacity exists above the electrode 13, and the former serves a role for the prevention of an arc generation. Further, when heat resistant rubbers 17a, 17b are loaded, damages on members in the periphery of the semiconductor due to the arc generation can be prevented further positively.</p> |
