Inside a body 10, on the path of the gas between an inlet 14 and an outlet 13, are a first stopper 18 manoeuvred by a magnetic unit 21 which is sensitive to the presence of a flame, a rotary valve element 19 which can be manoeuvred by a shaft 25, and a second stopper 20 manoeuvred by a thermostatic probe 34, it being possible for the shaft 25 to be coupled instantaneously, using a pushing-in movement, to the means for manoeuvring the first stopper 18 and to the valve element 19 in order to place them initially in an open position, this shaft 25 always being rotationally coupled to the third stopper 20, and all these components being housed inside the body 10. <IMAGE>
