<p>PURPOSE: To adapt for a card for which conductive zones are arranged in two columns away from a front edge by providing a slope for cooperating with the shoulders of respective contactors in a carriage and providing the slope in the material of the side face of a slit provided on the carriage so as to house the contactor. CONSTITUTION: The carriage 8 is arranged at a suspension position by a return means when the card 100 is not present in this reader and pushed and moved to an operating position by the card 100 when it is inserted, the carriage 8 and the contactors 35 and 36 cooperate, the carriage 8 holds the contactors 35 and 36 at the suspension position on the outer side of a card insertion track at the suspension position and the carriage 8 abuts the contactors 35 and 36 to the contact point of the card 100 at the operating position. Then, the carriage 8 is provided with the slopes 56 and 57 for cooperating with the shoulders 54 and 55 provided near the tips of the respective contactors 35 and 36 and the slopes 56 and 57 are formed in the material of the side face of the slit of the carriage 8 for housing the contactors 35 and 36. Thus, the card for which the conductive zones are arranged in the two columns away from the front edge is adapted.</p> |
