Device for recovering heat, for heating premises. The invention consists in recovering the energy from a fireplace to reduce the energy cost of a central heating installation: fuel oil, gas, electricity. It consists of an exchanger made of steel with rings 2, 3, 4, around which the heat is recovered, the refractory briquettes 6 absorbing the "condensates" and eliminating tar. The circulation of the fluid is directed via baffles 7, the degassing being carried out by connections 9. The device 1 is passed through from the bottom to the top by the flames of the hearth. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for economising heat energy. <IMAGE>
