PURPOSE:To speed up scale data input and to improve its reliability by describing scale data of a program, which control a musical sound generating mechanism, in KANA(Japanese Syllabary). CONSTITUTION:The scale data which is described in KANA is present in a control program as part of the control program on a main storage device 12 or on the main storage device 12 or an auxiliary storage device 13 as independent data. When a central processor 11 executes the control program present on the main storage device 12, the control program reads a scale data sequence, in analyzes KANA characters as the scale data to determine a scale, and generates a sound generation command and a scale indication parameter characteristic to a musical sound generating mechanism 14, thereby sending them to the musical sound generating mechanism 14. The musical sound generating mechanism 14 generates a specific musical sound according to the sent command and parameter. Consequently, the scale data input is speeded up and improved in reliability. |
