PURPOSE: To enable to give treatment irrespective of postures of patients, by determining angular directions in two directions of an optical axis, and conducting observation and treatment of patients who are in a sitting posture and lying posture, respectively. CONSTITUTION: This equipment has a binocular 20 and lens 22 to form an optical system for allowing a doctor to observe a patient. The optical system includes moreover plural lenses, mirrors, prisms and focus adjustment tools. A piece 100 which has a slider fitting a sliding passage formed in the range of thickness of a table 94 supports an assembly 104 capable of positioning the head of a patient in a sitting posture. The assembly has a column 106 fixed on a part 100 and chin-supporting parts 108 and 110 positioned on the top of the column 106. When a patient in a lying posture is treated, a head block 126 at first is fixed on a table 122. Then, the patient is loaded and his (her) head is positioned and immobilized within the head block 126. Next, a bed 122 is installed so that the head block 126 may fit a cut out 98. |
