PURPOSE:To improve the response by indicating the start of the generation of a musical sound according to 1st pitch cycle data between at least two successive pitch cycle data whose difference is decided to be smaller than a specific threshold value among pitch cycle data which are detected in order from the rising point of an input waveform signal. CONSTITUTION:A pitch detecting means detects at least three pitch cycle data in each pitch cycle from the input waveform signal after a rising detecting means detects the rising of the input waveform signal. Therefore, when an input waveform signal which is close to a sine wave is considered, the start of the generation of the musical sound is indicated about 1.5 pitch cycle after the input start point of the input waveform signal, i.e. the point Zero3 where two time interval t1 and t2 almost coincide with each other when the conditions are good. Consequently, the input controller for an electronic instrument which has good response can be obtained. |
