Equipment intended to produce a galvanic deposit on an object. This equipment comprises a vessel 10 containing an electrolyte bath 11, at least one anode 12 and a cathode 13B consisting of the object(s) to be treated. It additionally comprises a reference cathode 14 connected equipotentially to the cathode 13B. The galvanic deposit is produced on the cathode by applying to the latter a current which has the same density as that applied to the reference cathode and by keeping this density constant. All kinds of objects can be treated in this way whatever the nature of the baths. <IMAGE>
