<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the clogging of a packed bed and to effectively hold the contact of bacteria with a packing material for a long time by filling at least a part of a packing body with a bacteria metabolite or humus containing a specific compound and together providing a buoyance adjusting part. CONSTITUTION:The org. substance contained in waste water is flocculated by the action of a bacteria metabolite containing phenol and/or a compound having a phenol exposing group in the first reaction tank 2. The org. substance thus flocculated to be formed into sludge flows in the second reaction tank 3 to be brought into contact with the bacteria metabolite such as phenol or the like and becomes macromolecular to be sedimented in a sedimentation tank 4. A packing body is present in such a state that a floating type packing body 10, a migration type packing body 11 and a sedimentation type packing body 12 are mixed and moved along with water and sludge fluidized by the air stream discharged from the aeration apparatus 9 provided to the lower part of the tank and prevented from clogging.</p> |
