In addition, showing following physicochemical properties; Elemental analysis (%): C 48.01, H 6.87, N 9.40, Cl 11.43; Melting point: not showing sharp melting point and gradually browning from the neighborhood of 190 deg.C; HR-FAB MS: M+H m/Z 459.26711 C24R35N4O5) Specific rotatory power: [alpha]D=-62 (C=1, methanol); Appearance: pale yellow powder; Solubility: soluble in water, metha nol and ethanol and insoluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform and n-hexane; Basic; Color reaction: positive to universal, sulfuric acid, ninhydrin, etc. USE:An antibacterial agent and an anti-neoplastic agent. PREPARATION:A strain such as Nocardiopsis sp. Y-09194L (FERM P-10461) belonging to Nocardiopsis genus is cultured, preferably under an aerobic condi tion at 30 deg.C and pH 6-8. |
