The reel according to the invention comprises a dismountable spool 2 which can be fitted onto a shaft 3 integral with the body 1 of the reel. A main annular seal 16, made of an elastic material, is interposed between the bore 9 of the spool and the shaft 3 of the spool. The seal 16 is compressed axially and radially between corresponding surfaces of the spool 2 and the shaft 3. An additional seal 25 is compressed radially between the spool 2 and the shaft 3.
