Electrical connector device for the terminals of a battery for starting motor-vehicle engines. The invention relates to a quick connect and disconnect device ensuring maximum electrical contact and protection of the component elements from corrosion. This device is composed of a shell (case) 1 and of the combined contact/locking element 4-6 as well as of a floating U-clamp 8 and of a twist grip (rotary handle) 11. This device is located instantly, and is manually locked, both onto the end-fitting of the positioned electrical cable and, at the same time, onto the terminal of the battery. It is particularly intended for conical-terminal batteries for starting motor-vehicle engines. <IMAGE>
